Introduction

Welcome to the Department of Mathematics at Mahatma Gandhi Vidyamandir’s Arts, Science and Commerce College, Manmad. The Department of Mathematics was established in the academic year 1990-91 with the establishment of Science faculty in the college. At present, this Department offering B. Sc. (Mathematics) degree course at S. Y. B. Sc. level under UG program affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune. We are one of the organs to Commerce discipline. We offerBusiness Mathematics and Statistics as an allied paper for Commerce discipline.Many experienced and eminent professors of this Department have taught Mathematics in this college. The department has 3 teaching faculties. The vision of the department is to develop the creative minds in Mathematics. Along with the teaching responsibilities, the faculty members are actively involved in research.

  • A. Rational
    The admission of student to F. Y. B. Sc. / S. Y. B. Sc. / F. Y. B. Com. Mathematics is as per the rules and regulations of UGC and Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune. The selection of subject is by the student at the time of admission to the concerned class that can be accessed through the admission link provided by Mahatma Gandhi Vidyamandir Institute.

    (i) Interest and aptitude of student
    (ii) Recognize of slow and advanced learners.
  • C. Aim
    (i) Every student has right of selection of subject of his/her interest.
    (ii) Any student can be a slow/advanced learner of Mathematics.

  • 2. Learning, Monitoring and Evaluation

  • A. Rational The implementation of lectures is one of the academic activities that aim to make learning activities in a semester can be carried out according to standards. There needs to be mechanism of monitoring and evaluation lectures to run according to good standards. Monitoring and evaluation of courses are carried out by the IQAC Department of college as there is only one faculty appointed in the department.
  • B. Scope
    (i) Mechanism of implementation of monitoring and evaluation lectures
    (ii) Lecture process mechanism, reporting and recommendation for improvement.
  • C. Aim
    (i) Lectures run well, according to the time and place set by the college.
    (ii) Every lecture has the completeness of college administration.
    (iii) Every student can attend lectures properly, by their rights and obligations.

  • 3. Facility Utilization and Maintenance

  • A. Rational Educational facilities are facilities and infrastructure for administrative activities and teaching and learning process. Without adequate facilities and infrastructure, quality educational activities are difficult to realize. Fort existing facilities and infrastructure to be well maintained, a procedure for maintaining existing facilities is required.
  • B. Scope
    (i) Check the condition of all computers and accessories.
    (ii) File a maintenance fees.
  • C. Purpose The standard operating procedure is intended so that the care and maintenance of the facility can be used economically in the long term
