Introduction



The most important requirements for the nation are Women empowerment & gender equality for the upliftment & progress. As a vital role of educational institute, we always support to the female students for being confident. For this noble work the Women Development Cell of MGV’s Arts, Science and Commerce College, Manmad is working wholeheartedly. The cell has both the faculty & students of the college as its members & works with an aim to create a gender sensitized community within Campus as well as in the society .It has been organising various academic, technical, medical, cultural, social events for the upliftment of women & spread and extend a sense of responsibility for gender equality.

Vision :


To maintain and strengthen the status of women andmouldthe young minds and pave their way to grow into balanced and better human beings.

Mission :


  • To encourage female students to beself-confidant and being financially viable
  • To instil positive self-esteem and confidence among the female students so that they can take the right decision in and for- theirlives
  • To create awareness of feminine potential and need of gender equality
  • To provide equal career opportunities to all the gender

Objectives


  • To create awareness to build an egalitarian society
  • To focus upon the development of women in every sphere
  • To organize events & activities for women empowerment
  • To create an environment that will help women realize their full potential & give their best.
  • To organize workshops, seminars and talks to convey the message of gender equality
  • To prevent sexual harassment and to promote general wellbeing of female students,teaching and non-teaching staff

Future plans


  • A meditation Centre will be established to deal with the everyday stress & anxieties
  • To organize a certificate course on self- defence.
  • For a Healthy & fit life, yoga camp and an
  • Aerobic classes will be organized by the cell. To organize various talks, workshops and events on women empowerment and gender equality through it female students will get a platform to understand their unexplored skills& talents
  • To start a certificate course on gender & law to increase awareness about myths and taboos.
