Science Department

The Chemistry department of the Manmad College started in 1990-91. This is one of the largest science departments of the college. In its history of 30 years it has grown considerably. The department offers undergraduate and post graduate classes. The department is located on the first floor of the main building with spacious classrooms and well equipped laboratories. Intake capacity of department is 360 whereas the average strength of undergraduate class is nearly 271. The M.Sc. Organic chemistry programme is started from the academic year 2020-21. The intake capacity of the M.Sc. programme is 24. five faculties are for UG classes. Two of them hold Ph. D. degrees. and Dr. B. S. Desale is recognized as Ph.D. Guide of SPPU, Pune. Three faculties are perusing their PhD degrees from SPPU, Pune. Faculties have published two national patents. More than 58 Reasearch papers are published by the faculty members. One of the faculties is ex BOS member. Department organises “CHEMIAD” Examination for FY, SY and TYBSC students every year (Report). Department of Chemistry organized Periodic Table Competition for TYBSc students.(Report) Department of Chemistry organises Industrial. Visit every year.
