Student Grievances Redressal SOP

1. Purpose:

The purpose of this SOP is to establish a systematic and transparent process for addressing and resolving student grievances promptly and fairly.

2. Scope:

This procedure applies to all students of Arts Commerce and Science College, Manmad, who have concerns, complaints, or grievances related to academic, administrative, or personal matters.

3. Procedure:

3.1. Grievance Submission:

Students should submit their grievances in writing to the Grievance Redressal Cell (GRC).

Grievances should be addressed to the Chairperson of the GRC.

The grievance should include specific details, such as the nature of the grievance, date, time, location, and any relevant supporting documents.

3.2. Acknowledgment:

The GRC Chairperson will acknowledge the receipt of the grievance within 5 days

An acknowledgment email will be sent to the student, confirming that their grievance is under review.

3.3. Investigation:

The GRC will conduct a thorough investigation into the grievance.

The GRC may request additional information or evidence from the student and relevant parties.

The investigation should be completed within one month of complaint.

3.4Resolution:

Once the investigation is complete, the GRC will reach a resolution.

The GRC may suggest appropriate actions to address the grievance, such as mediation, disciplinary action, policy changes, or other remedies.

The resolution should be communicated to the student within 10 days.

3.5. Appeal Process:

If the student is dissatisfied with the resolution, they may appeal within 5days

Appeals should be submitted in writing to the Principal of the college.

The Principal will review the case and provide a final decision within 5days.

4. Record Keeping:

The GRC will maintain records of all grievances, investigations, and resolutions.

Records will be kept confidential and secure.

5. Review and Improvement:

This SOP will be reviewed and updated annually to ensure its effectiveness.

Feedback from students and stakeholders will be considered for improvements.

6. Communication:

The SOP will be communicated to all students through college publications and the official website.

7. Compliance:

All college staff and students are expected to adhere to this SOP.
