Introduction


The Vision of the Late Karmveer Bhausaheb Hiray was student centric, provide the good Education to the mass. The vision followed by the college, it boasts of 1500 students from rural background. The Board of Students' Development truly represents this vision that is multidimensional as well as multifaceted. This vision sees the youth as a source of strength where their energy is harnessed to nation building and socially relevant activities to build an egalitarian society. The Board of Students’ Development (BSD) looks after the.

protection of rights and supervises the welfare activities of the students of the College. BSD promotes and co-ordinates the different students’ activities for better corporate life. BSD tries to nurture students' mental, physical, cultural growth with various activities to improve their overall personality development and to make them civilized Indian citizens to compete in the globalized world.

The functioning of Board of Student Development is based on the great Educationist & Social Activist Karmveer Bhaurao Patil & Shikshan Maharshi Karmveer Bhausaheb Hiray. The Board of Student Development of the college works in association with the Student Development council, Savitribai Phule Pune University. The Board implements number of welfare schemes for the students under the University guidelines. Now the Board is known as Student Development Board as per the provisions of Maharashtra Public University Act.

  • Board of Student Development provides following schemes.
  • 1. Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil Earn and Learn Scheme:

    • This scheme provides earning opportunities to the poor and needy students in the College so that they may cater their educational needs without economic hurdle. It also supports students financially and facilitates earning while learning. The main focus of the enhance the dignity of labour and create work culture among the students.

  • 2. Nirbhay Kanya Abhiyan:

    • The scheme is exclusively implemented for the girl students with the special focus on the personality development of the students so that their morale may boost up.

  • 3. Disaster Management Training:

    • The scheme is implemented for the youth so that they can handle various situations in crisis. This training helps them to prevent the disastrous devastation made by natural and manmade calamities. They are given the training how to minimize the devastation by implementing measures. The intention was to create awareness among students about pre & post disaster management.
